Reckitt Benckiser introduces Gaviscon in Indian Market

Reckitt Benckiser, global conglomerate and world leader in household, health and personal care today held a Scientific Conference at The Grand Hyatt, Chennai subsequent to the launch of its Power Brand Gaviscon in Tamilnadu. The conference featured a discussion on 'Management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) in 21st century.' The workshop was conducted by Dr Robert Heading, President of t



e Association of Gastrointestinal Physiologists and Prof. Pali Hungin, Founding member of the UK and the European Society for Primary Care Gastroenterology.

Padmashree Dr K R Palaniswamy, former President - Society for Gastro-Intestinal Endoscopy of India and Dr. Shobna J. Bhatia, Professor and Head Department of Gastroenterology, Seth G S Medical College and K E M Hospital along with the Dr. Heading and Dr. Hungin moderated various informative sessions on the nature & presentation of Heartburn in India, management of Heartburn and optimizing control of Reflux that causes heartburn. During the course of the seminar International delegate also shared their experience with Gaviscon with the Indian Doctors. Over 200 medical experts from Chennai and TN participated in the workshop.
